JOHN R. BOKEN
John R. BokenJohn Boken, a managing director at Kroll Zolfo Cooper, specializes in providing restructuring advisory and crisis management services to financially distressed companies and their creditors.
John has more than 18 years of corporate restructuring experience. He has led over 50 restructuring projects in a wide variety of industries, including energy, health care, manufacturing, retail and agriculture. John has developed expertise in devising business turnaround strategies, formulating debt restructuring plans and divesting of unprofitable and/or non-strategic operations and assets. He is particularly adept at designing creative solutions to the complex operating and capital structure problems that exist in large restructuring cases. John’s experience includes serving in senior executive capacities for client companies.
Professional Experience
John is currently CEO and CRO of homebuilder TOUSA. Recently John was CRO of automobile supplier Collins & Aikman, where he led the $4 billion company through Chapter 11. Previously, John served as president and COO of NRG Energy in its Chapter 11 proceeding and as CEO of Entegra Power Group, upon its emergence from bankruptcy. Other notable assignments have included Southern California Edison Company, Fleetwood Enterprises, Sun Healthcare Group, AgriBioTech, Garden Botanika, Party America, Alliance Imaging and Riviera Hotel and Casino.
John currently manages the activities of Kroll Zolfo Cooper in the western United States. Previously, John was the managing partner of the Los Angeles corporate restructuring practice of Arthur Andersen.
